Wendy’s shares jump on takeover speculation

Wendy’s — Shares of the fast-food chain surged 13% after reports that Nelson Peltz’s Trian Fund Management was preparing a potential bid to take the company private.

Retail and construction stocks decline

National Vision — Shares of the optical retailer fell 6% after its full-year guidance came in below Wall Street expectations. The company forecast adjusted earnings of 94 cents to $1.09 per share and revenue between $2.037 billion and $2.076 billion.

Aecom — Shares dropped 6% after weak fiscal third-quarter results. Revenue declined approximately 14% year over year to $3.59 billion, while Americas net service revenue came in below analyst expectations.

Quantum and 3D printing stocks gain

Lumentum Holdings — Shares climbed 15% after the optical and photonic products maker reported stronger-than-expected fourth-quarter earnings and revenue. The AI-related stock has more than doubled year to date.

Nebius Group — Shares jumped more than 25% after the AI infrastructure company reported stronger-than-expected revenue, EBITDA, and gross margins.

Coherent — Shares gained more than 9% as investors reacted positively to Lumentum’s earnings ahead of Coherent’s own results.
